The Philippine Center of Excellence in Defense, Development, and Security (PCEDS) of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) partnered with the Grain Foundation for PWD Inc. (GFPI) for a community outreach activity in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City, on 21 December 2022.
As part of the College’s goal to give back to the sector that needs empowerment, protection, and representation, the NDCP turned over Noche Buena packages for over a hundred families with persons with disabilities (PWD). In turn, the beneficiaries also showcased their talents through a song and dance number.
In his message, LtGen Ferdinand M Cartujano PAF(Ret), President of the NDCP, acknowledged the efforts of GPFI in spearheading efforts to serve the marginalized sector, particularly PWDs, through educational projects. “Kayo rin ay nagbibigay ng oras at iba’t ibang kakayahan sa kanila upang sila ay maging bahagi ng kapisanan ng mga manggagawa ng Pilipinas,” he added.
