NADI is an independent Track II body that provides a platform for academic discussion on defense and security issues. Participants in NADI activities are free to think even beyond their respective governments’ positions. They also strive to think ahead of the curve and anticipate emerging defense and security challenges.
Ideas and recommendations generated in NADI are submitted to the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) through the ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADSOM).
Because of the pandemic, NADI has been on virtual mode since 2020.
