The National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) collaborated with the Office of the Deputy of Staff for Civil-Military Relations, OJ7, of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for the conduct of the Strategy Communication Training Workshop held from 5 to 6 February 2024 at the NDCP Honor Hall, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
The two-day workshop allowed the AFP’s public affairs practitioners and planners to develop strategies and plans for fortifying cohesion across communication initiatives and programs, which is vital in optimizing current platforms and cascading strategic narratives. NPI Communication Consulting Inc. was also a partner for the activity, with its President and CEO, Mr Narciso Inlong, serving as a facilitator during the workshop.
Aside from Mr Inlong, the NDCP and OJ7 also invited esteemed resource speakers to bolster the participants’ knowledge on issues involving the current security landscape in the Philippines. Some speakers include Assistant Director General Jonathan E Malaya, MPSA, of the National Security Council, and Undersecretary for Strategic Assessment and Planning Ignacio B Madriaga of the Department of National Defense.
In his closing remarks, LtGen Ferdinand M Cartujano PAF (Ret), President of the NDCP, highlighted the importance of strategic communication, explaining that it is a mindset that, when ingrained, transforms how people interact with their surroundings.
“Whether in our professional endeavors or personal relationships, the principles we’ve explored here will undoubtedly serve as guiding beacons, steering us toward clarity, resonance, and impact,” LtGen Cartujano added.
