A total of 61 students of the National Security Studies Program (NSSP) presented their policy papers during the Virtual Public Colloquium conducted by the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) on 24-27 August 2021.
The NSSP is a bridging program for senior military officers who had taken up master’s degrees from CHED-accredited institutions in the country or their equivalent abroad.
Policy papers presented during the activity covered issue areas such as insurgency, terrorism, violent extremism, crisis response, defense transformation, future force design, territorial defense, foreign policy analysis, internal security operations, peace negotiations, defense cooperation, and cybersecurity.
In his closing remarks, the NDCP President congratulated the NSSP students for sharing with the audience in a public platform the results of their studies. He also stressed the importance of braving tough questions in an academic setting for the experience will better prepare them for more challenging engagements once they occupy higher positions of responsibility.
