The National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) conducted an ISO 9001: 2015 Full Awareness Course for select personnel from 13 to 15 September 2023 at the Summit Ridge Hotel and Resort, Tagaytay, Cavite. The said training aimed at providing the participants a more in-depth understanding of what ISO standards require and how they can be applied in the context of NDCP.
In his opening remarks, Capt Jorge A Ibarra PN (Ret) MNSA, Chief of the Administrative Division, encouraged the participants to engage with each other and actively participate in the exercises in order to fully understand and practice the concepts, principles, and techniques of performing effective auditing of various NDCP processes which include management, core, and support.
During the audit, which was facilitated by Ms Merian Domingo of the SOCOTEC Certification Philippines Inc, participants discussed and simulated specific ISO 9001: 2015 clauses as well as their applicability per division and processes.
During the closing session, NDCP President LtGen Ferdinand M Cartujano PAF (Ret) highlighted the significance of the insights and learnings that the participants acquired during the training as they improve their respective offices’ services and processes.
