The NDCP conducted a two-day continuing education program entitled “Back to Basics: The Logic of Security and Implications for Policy,” consisting of lectures and seminar workshops, on 10-11 August 2022 at AFPCOC, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
Around fifty (50) highly engaging alumni from the military, civilian government agencies, and private sector, as well as other stakeholders, actively participated in the said event.
National Security Adviser Dr Clarita R Carlos, former NDCP President, graced the event as lecturer on human security, alongside Dr Renato C de Castro (external security), Dr Francis Rico C Domingo (cybersecurity), Dr Teodoro Lloydon C Bautista (economic security), Dr Antonio P Contreras (environmental security), NDCP faculty Dr Ananda Devi D Almase (introductory lecture), and Associate Professor Robert Joseph P Medillo (political security).
The NDCP Executive Vice President Capt Aldrin C Cuna PN (Res) MNSA delivered the opening remarks where he highlighted the importance of continuing education for the alumni. NDCP President Archimedes H Viaje PhD MNSA CESE closed the event with emphasis on the importance of multi-perspectives in analyzing security problems and policy options.
